Grab-and-Go Sections in Smoothie Shops

The Smoothie Shop Association is being established soon as an extension of the successful trade group, International Frozen Yogurt Association (InternationalFrozenYogurt.com), leveraging its expertise and proven track record in supporting yogurt shop owners and operators. The new association is designed to address the unique needs of the smoothie shop industry, providing valuable resources and support for independent owners, franchisors, and franchisees. Key focus areas will include best practices in operations, marketing strategies, supply chain management, customer engagement, and navigating the challenges of running a smoothie business in a competitive market. By fostering a community of knowledge-sharing and collaboration, the Smoothie Shop Association aims to empower its members to thrive and elevate industry standards.

Our Grab-and-Go History

We created the first series of grab-and-go programs in the early 1990’s and evolved into becoming distribution platform developers and operators for formats such as hotels, camp-grounds and marinas.
Our first series of snack and beverage programs (including with Best Buy, Lowe’s, Hilton and Staples) grew to an annual $500 million and evolved into new programs within the food service formats (smoothie, juice, yogurt, coffee, deli, colleges and universities, hospitals, offices and factories, stadiums and arenas, theme parks, water parks, zoos, aquariums and more).

The Upcoming Smoothie Shop Association

A Grab-and-Go Section is essential for Smoothie Shops, as it enhances customer convenience, drives additional revenue, and caters to the fast-paced lifestyles of today’s consumers. This section provides quick, healthy options for customers who may not have time to wait for a freshly made smoothie, making the shop a go-to destination for both beverages and snacks. Key grab-and-go products should include energy bars, protein snacks, bottled cold-pressed juices, trail mix, fresh fruit packs, yogurt parfaits, and ready-made smoothie bowls. These items not only align with the health-conscious image of smoothie shops but also attract a broader audience, from busy professionals to fitness enthusiasts. By offering a well-stocked grab-and-go section, smoothie shops can improve customer satisfaction, increase foot traffic, and create additional sales opportunities beyond their core menu (www.GrabandGo.org).
